Sorry for the scarcity of posts. Lilly has been keeping me busy and Eric forgot to put "post on the blog" on his to do list last week (it was his spring break). Everything at the Jones' Farm is pretty uninteresting.
Lilly is healing excellent from surgery. She is crazy as can be and continues to grow like a weed, both in fatness and in length. I think she has gained almost 3 pounds since surgery - yikes. We went to the geneticist today and she is microscopic on the DS weight growth curve, but actually on the tall side of the curve. Not sure where that comes from.
Also, she goes back to school tomorrow! I know her teachers are very excited about this - I mean Lilly is the coolest kid at that school, so who can blame them really.
New things the kid is doing -
- All sorts of facial contortions - she can twist her tongue, blow rasberries, and make a fish face
- She is rolling from her belly to her back - tummy time doesn't really exist now cause she just flops over when I put her down on her belly. Oh well.
- She is sleeping 6ish hours now at night - thank the Lord!
- She has fallen deeply in love with precious George (the cat). I will make sure to post some pictures, it's great!
- To her father's dismay - she looks like she might be left handed.... (aren't left handers usually smarter anyway?)
- She can fit into size 2 diapers now (we are still squeezing her into the leftover 1's at the moment!)
- She wears size 3 - 6 month clothes and 6 month clothes!
- She can now FINALLY use her jumperoo! That is with a few of my ginormous vet school textbooks underneath for her to reach the ground. Again, will make sure to post pictures.
- She scoots on her back and can travel great distances - very detrimental to the bald spot on the back of her head
- She has the notion to crawl and appears to want to... We're lacking upper body strength at the time and currently face plant rather than crawl. Hey it's progress I suppose
- She can sit with her bumbo seat for bits of time now
Phew, that's a good number of accomplishments for one person, I don't think I have that many.
