Eric was changing the bed sheets yesterday. Lilly had a blast helping him!

Ch-ch-changes
Okay so a lot of people don't like change. But lately at the Jones Farm, change has been great. I don't talk much about work on this blog, because Lilly is way cooler. But I quit my job this past February, it wasn't working out and it was just time to go. And I have never been happier!!!
Sure I've gone 2 months unemployed, but now I have ventured into the oh so awesome land of self employment. I am now doing relief work for whoever needs a day off or wants to go on vacation but doesn't want to close their clinic down (mostly small animal). Well, since I started advertising myself 2 1/2 weeks ago, I now have 3 clnics that will become regulars (anywhere from a couple days a month to a couple days a week) AND in the next month or two I will officially be working one day a week or so at our local animal shelter here in town!
Quick plug- please support the Walter Crowe Animal Shelter - great people working for a great cause. They are fundraising to get $2 million dollars to open up a state of the art animal shelter, which is so much needed as the current facility is run down and overcrowded. They appreciate all sorts of help, whether it's donating some items, some money, adopting a dog, or even just taking a dog for a walk on a pretty day!
Ok, now back to my new career change. Did I say it's wonderful! I worked 2 days last week for an AWESOME clinic over in Florence. Great people and great owners! Ahh refreshing. As icing on the cake, I brought in more working those two days than I brought in an entire week at my previous job, that never hurts! I hope to stay at just 2 or 3 days a week so I can spend time with my Lilly Pad, but it's already looking like the summer might be quite busy!
Other changes in the household - Lilly now travels in log fashion. She just rolls and rolls to get around in the house. Sometimes we lose her, but usually not :) She is talking now too!! Says baba, dada, lala.... only occasionally does the mama come out, but oh well. At school, she is also, how do I put it..... a little rough on the edges? I wouldn't call her a "bully", that's a little harsh. One of her poor classmates who is 2 1/2 months younger than her is so dearly attached to his pacifier. Lilly (who could care less about a pacifier) thinks it's great fun to yank it out of his mouth and roll away! I can't help laughing, it's pretty funny- am I being a bad parent, haha :)
That is all for now, I will make sure to put Eric on picture posting duty this week.
